Insights team supported several surveys tracking to measure and monitor seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 (corona virus) among the adult population in the West Bank region of Palestine. This work was led by Dr. Faisal Awartani, who is a senior research fellow at Arab American University of Palestine. Insights research team supported the design of research, sampling methodology , data collection, data analysis and reporting.
Cross-sectional probability surveys are an important tool for measuring the prevalence of various communicable and non-communicable diseases. This type of tool provides unbiased estimate for the true prevalence, unlike the methodology that is based on testing suspected cases, which usually produces an overestimation for the prevalence of targeted disease.
