The research team at Insights for Research, Polling and Informatics is currently supporting a research group in the US to explore the factors correlated with Americans support for gun permits by using the 2018 general social survey conducted by the university of Chicago. Insights data analytics team found three interesting factors that are highly correlated with the support for gun permits in the US, which are political affiliation, gender and educational level. The one that was intriguing the most is the gender factor. Where women were found to be more in favor of gun permits (76%) than men (66%).
